Below is a short portfolio showing the development for my final collection a siren’s call. please contact me if you have any questions.

A Siren's Call is influenced by the folklore surrounding fishermen's ganseys, the romance of pre-raphealite paintings and the textures of fishing ropes and nets
Colours are influence by fishing nets and ropes, but rather than using bold/neon colours, the colours are reimagined as if they were sunbleached, creating a pastel palette.
Initial research for the fishermen's ganseys, using Frank Sutcliffe's portraits. The focus is on the unique placements of cables and moss stitch.
Knitted lace, inspired by fishing nets, to add a lighter knit to the collection.
Using the lace knitted samples, reclaimed fibres and yarn are weaved through to add texture.
Three-dimensional knit achieved through partial knit and inspired by fish poking through a net.
Picture6-min
Inspired by the idea of sea-soaked clothes, knits are suspended and manipulated using straps and hoops.
